2014 NBA Draft: 76ers Fan Bought Andrew Wiggins Jersey

WELP. It shouldn’t surprise anyone that this was going to happen. Apparently a fan was so confident in the 76ers and their hopes about Andrew Wiggins, that he went out and spent a lot of money to have this jersey made. This was custom made and those things aren’t cheap.

It’s always great to have hope. You know, this season was called “Winless for Wiggins” by many, so I get it. But, everyone knew it was very unrealistic that the 76ers would land Wiggins with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. When Adrian Wojnarowski revealed that the Cavs and 76ers never had discussions, it seemed even less real. It’s sad that Andrew Wiggins might never wear a 76ers jersey, but at least this guy can pretend right? At least it wasn’t a tattoo, that’s all I’m going to say.

If I’m the person that purchased this jersey, I would still wear it around quite a lot. It almost represents what this season was supposed to be, right? I’m just trying to make this person feel better. At the end of the day, it will produce memories for this person when he looks at in in five years and wonders why the hell he spent money on a jersey of someone that will never play for the 76ers. But, a lot of us did that with Andrew Bynum, so it’s justified.
