Shortly after NBA Free Agency started on July 1, the 76ers were making call. To whom? Avery Bradley of the Boston Celtics.
The 76ers have the most cap room in the NBA — next to the Phoenix Suns — and although they won’t make any big splashes, they are looking for competent players to help develop their young talent. Bradley will be entering his fifth season in the NBA and put up 14.9 points, 1.4 assists and 3.8 rebounds last season. The 6-foot-2 guard shot 43 percent from the floor and 30 percent form deep last season. However, Avery Bradley is a restricted free agent, meaning the Boston Celtics can match any offer given to Bradley.
What will the 76ers offer to Bradley? Probably somewhere near 3-4 years at 6-7 million per. So, somewhere around 4 years for 21 million. The Celtics seem to want to keep Bradley, but might back away depending on an offer from the 76ers. Stay tuned for more free agent details.
