Pierre Jackson Injures Right Achilles In Summer League

During the first half, Pierre Jackson went down with what appeared to be an ankle injury in the 76ers Summer League game against the Orlando Magic. At first, it seemed like a sprained ankle, but Jackson remained on the floor as the play continued to go on around him. He had to be carried off the court and it was looking very bleak.

The 76ers just announced that Pierre Jackson suffered an injured right achilles.

From the words bouncing around, it appears that the injury is very serious and could be a rupture of the achilles. If this is the case, don’t expect to see Pierre Jackson in a 76ers uniform in the near future, maybe the whole season.

Pierre Jackon had 7 points on 3-of-5 shooting before the injury occurred. He logged less than seven minutes of game action. Keep him in your prayers, the man deserves it. He’s been through so much just to get to this juncture and it’s extremely depressing to see this happen.
