Source: 76ers May Consider Lin's Contract Too Expensive

Last night, it was reported that the 76ers and Rockets had agreed on a deal to send Jeremy Lin and picks to Philly, which was contingent on the decisions of LeBron James and Chris Bosh. Who knows what’s going on with King James, but there is more news on the Jeremy Lin front of things.

A source told Dei Lynam of CSN Philly that the Sixers are an option for Houston, but the cap space may prove too expensive. The source also believes that the Rockets have other options besides the 76ers for Jeremy Lin’s contract.

This is an interesting development, considering that the 76ers have around 30 million in cap space and Lin’s contract would only count for around $8 million, although the 76ers would have to pay Lin $15 million in total. That may be where this is all coming from.

Remember, none of this means anything if LeBron James returns to Miami and Chris Bosh decides to return with him. Also, yes I’m obsessed with images of Jeremy Lin’s three-point celebration. Can’t you imagine that in a 76ers uniform next season?

Stay tuned for the latest on the trade front involving the 76ers.
