76ers Draft Pick Vasilije Micic Injured; Won't Compete in FIBA

Players drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers and knee issues seem to be a better combination than peanut butter and jelly these days. Vasilije Micic — the 76ers No. 52 selection in the 2014 NBA Draft — has a knee injury and won’t be competing in the upcoming FIBA games for Serbia.

Micic’s newest contract with Bayern Munich will keep him overseas for at least two years, so don’t expect Micic to come over to the 76ers until 2016 at the earliest. The knee injury shouldn’t be a big concern, because he’s years away from coming to the NBA. However, it would have been an opportunity for everyone to catch a glimpse of Micic, because most of us haven’t seen much of the 6’6″ point guard who’s drawn comparisons to MCW.
