76ers Pierre Jackson is Recovering Quickly From Torn Achilles

When 76ers newly acquired guard Pierre Jackson dropped to the ground during his first Summer League tilt, it was a sad moment. The former Baylor guard who barely tops the charts at 6’0″ worked extremely hard to get to where he was and his dream of playing in the NBA was within reach. However, that dream became more distant with one simple cut that sidelined him for the 2013-14 season. It was diagnosed as a torn Achilles for Jackson, but the emotion and mental pain was undoubtedly more painful than any physical damage.

The Achilles will heal and Jackson is showing fans that the process is already being expedited. Just a few months removed from surgery, Jackson is taking the court by storm. There may not be much movement, but that won’t stop the #JackMamba from getting shots up. Jackson posted this video to Instagram, showing himself taking — and draining — jumpers from all over the court.
