After a difficult road to recovery via the Philadelphia 76ers, Kendall Marshall is once more competing for a roster spot. Does the NBA have any more chapters for Kendall Marshall?

He’s a selfless point guard who has had a bit of a rocky NBA career so far.   Marshall’s enjoyed four seasons in the NBA on four different teams. He’s appeared in 160 NBA games, and started in 57 of those.  During this time, he has averaged 5.0 points, 4.9 assists, 1.6 rebounds, and .7 steals per game, while averaging 19.3 minutes of playing time.

He is a man of a many storied past.  Through it all, he’s kept his sense of humor.

Sometimes the pattern begins, and there is no end in sight. On the other hand, sometimes everything happens for a reason.  While we await Karma to reveal why this new turn of events, we can consider Marshall’s career patterns.  He is signed to a team for a reason.  He is traded for a reason.  Sometimes he is waived for a reason.

But what is it that teams see in his play to bring him to a roster, and what is it that the team sees that causes him to be so easily traded, waived or cut?
