One of the biggest questions surrounding the Sixers is whether or not Philadelphia should bring back Andrew Bynum. It’s a very tough and risky situation with several pros, along with several cons. He’s one of the most dominant big men in the league, but can he stay healthy?

Jrue Holiday spoke to Hoops Hype, saying, “He’s an awesome teammate even though he didn’t get the chance to play. He showed me a lot of perspective from the big men aspect of the game. I do think he’s one of the best big men in the league and having him on the bench and in the locker room helped me to improve my game.” Holiday was then asked if he wants Bynum back with the team and Holiday responded saying, “I’d love him to…obviously, if he’s healthy. If he’s healthy I think he’s the best big in the league, but like I said it’s tricky because of the knee injuries. They actually haven’t talked to me about whether or not Bynum should return so I don’t know. Again, it’s a tricky situation because of his knees, his injuries. You can’t really make the decision just yet. I think he wants to play, he wants to win. He had a winning career playing with the Lakers, winning two rings…He’s a winner and he wants to play.”

He will also be in full control of basketball operations. Hinkie was a former Houston Rockets assistant GM, working in the Rockets front office for 8 years. In 2007, Hinkie became the youngest vice president in the NBA and in 2010, he was promoted to executive vice president. Joshua Harris said, “There are a lot of things that you all don’t see. In terms of the organization building advanced analytic capability…certainly there will be more analytics in decision making.” Hopefully this will be a great fit for a growing Sixers team.
