PHILADELPHIA – 87 MIAMI – 106

LeBron James ended up being the lone star to lace them up tonight in Miami’s win over Philadelphia, as both Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh comfortably saw this one from the sidelines. The Sixers kept it close for first three quarters before the wheels fell off in the fourth. The Heat had strong play coming from both Rashard Lewis and Ray Allen, but it was ultimately James who stole the show, with numerous no-look dishes and cuts to the paint that left Coach Doug Collins hopelessly smiling in disbelief.

James capped the night off with 27 points and 5 assists under limited playing time. Philadelphia played well for most of this game, but the Heat looked calm and in full-control, with the three-time MVP manhandling the Sixer defense the whole night.

Jrue Holiday finally broke out of his shooting slump, knocking down some threes in the third quarter. He finished the night with 18 points, while Evan Turner logged in 14 points of his own. Philadelphia is now a terrible 9-28 this season on the road, failing to close out games due to sloppy defense and empty results on offense. At one point, the Sixers couldn’t score the basketball for nearly seven minutes during the fourth quarter tonight. The Sixers will now travel to Brooklyn try and pick up a rare road win with just six games left to the season.

Philadelphia 76ers (31-44) vs. Miami Heat (59-16)

The Sixers had a stellar game last night, scoring a season-high of 40 points in the first quarter against Atlanta. They cruised to a 101-90 victory, with Evan Turner leading the crew behind his 24 points and 11 rebounds. Tonight they’ll be in South Beach taking on a Heat team that will likely be without LeBron James and Dwyane Wade.

Apr 5, 2013; Atlanta, GA, USA; Philadelphia 76ers small forward Evan Turner (12) reacts after making a three point shot against the Atlanta Hawks during the second half at Philips Arena. The 76ers defeated the Hawks 101-90. Mandatory Credit: Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Miami has been just fine without their superstars in these final games of the season. Last night Mike Miller tagged in 26 points, going 7-for-11 from beyond the arc. Chris Bosh is also still around, logging in 38 minutes last night while putting up decent numbers. The Heat carry a phenomenal home record of 32-4 this year, tonight they’ll battle it out against a Philadelphia team that’s hoping to end this disappointing season on a strong note.

Philly has been dominated by Miami during the regular season, losing their last 14 straight games against the Heat. The Sixers will pull for another great showing by Evan Turner, while also hoping Jrue Holiday finds his stroke after some miserable shooting numbers in the past two games.
