As the season comes to an end, some teams are more focused than ever on the present while some are shifting their focus to the future. Playoff teams are now poised to make a deep run, and lottery teams are poised to make additions to their teams that will put get them a post-season birth next year.

June 28, 2012; Newark, NJ, USA; A general view of the first round draft board at the conclusion of the first round of the 2012 NBA Draft at the Prudential Center.
While nothing is set in stone, these are the lottery teams as of today and their chances at winning the first overall pick :

Charlotte Bobcats – 22.5%

Orlando Magic – 22.4%

Cleveland Cavaliers – 15.6%

Phoenix Suns – 11.9%

New Orleans Hornets – 8.8%

Sacramento Kings – 6.3%

Detroit Pistons – 3.6%

Washington Wizards – 3.5%

Minnesota Timberwolves – 1.7%

Oklahoma City Thunder – 1.1%

Philadelphia 76ers – 0.8%

Portland Trailblazers – 0.7%

Dallas Mavericks – 0.6%

Utah Jazz – 0.5%

While that is each team’s chances at landing their choice at any player entering this year’s NBA Draft, much is to be determined.

The Utah Jazz are still battling the Los Angeles Lakers for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference heading into the last game of the season.

Underclassmen have until April 28th to declare for the draft so while many have already declared, there are bound to be the few that decide to stay in school.

The NBA Draft Lottery will take place on May 21st. Charlotte or Orlando is likely to land the top pick, but stranger things have happened before. Other teams are likely to rise in the lottery, and others will drop.

With all that said, here is a look at the most likely lottery scenario and who each team may draft.

Charlotte Bobcats – Nerlens Noel, Kentucky

Orlando Magic – Marcus Smart, Oklahoma State

Cleveland Cavaliers – Otto Porter Jr., Georgetown

Phoenix Suns – Ben McLemore, Kansas

New Orleans Hornets – Victor Oladipo, Indiana

Sacramento Kings – Shabazz Muhammad, UCLA

Detroit Pistons – Trey Burke, Michigan

Washington Wizards – Anthony Bennett, UNLV

Minnesota Timberwolves – Gary Harris, Michigan State

Oklahoma City Thunder – Alex Len, Maryland

Philadelphia 76ers – Cody Zeller, Indiana

Portland Trailblazers – Mitch McGary, Michigan

Dallas Mavericks – Michael Carter-Williams, Syracuse

Utah Jazz – C.J. McCollum, Lehigh

The Sixers welcomed Milwaukee to the Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday night, looking to end their season slump against the Bucks. After the 100-92 win for the 76ers, they have managed to win five of their last nine games since losing twelve of thirteen, and avoided the season series sweep.

Points in the open court have been a big part of the Sixers’ recent success, and was again tonight. The Sixers notched 20 fast break points against the Bucks to go along with their 60 points in the paint. When the Sixers score at least 100 points, they are 14-7 on the season after Wednesday night.

Spencer Hawes continued to impress the way he has of late, scoring 15 points while grabbing 17 rebounds. That is Spencer’s fifth double-double in his last seven games. Since being held scoreless on March 2nd against the Golden State Warriors, Hawes has averaged 14.7 points and 10.2 rebounds per outing.

Other contributors include Damien Wilkins, who added 18 points, and Evan Turner, who had an impressive stat line of 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists on 6-of-11 from the field. Even more impressive is that the Sixers were +22 when Turner was on the floor in the win.

Defensively, Milwaukee was held to 41.6% shooting and just 92 points. Brandon Jennings was held to zero points for the first time in his career, and did not play after the 9:37 mark in the third quarter. The Bucks were -25 against the Sixers when their best player was on the court at the Wells Fargo Center.

Most impressively, the Sixers controlled the boards against the Bucks, winning that battle 48-44. Also, they totaled 28 assists while only allowing Milwaukee to record 18. With three home games and eight road games remaining, the Sixers will head into Cleveland to face Kyrie Irving and the Cavaliers on Friday night.
