Home game at the Wells Fargo Center

The Sixers are trying to keep the momentum flowing as they play host to the New Orleans Hornets Tuesday night in front of the home crowd at the Wells Fargo Center. After a refreshing win against a really hot Houston Rockets team on Saturday night, the Sixers are looking to turn things around. Jrue Holiday is really making a name for himself this season with 30 points, 9 assists and 3 rebounds on Saturday he is sure to bring that same fire and spark Tuesday night.

Now you may be thinking like this should be an easy win. The New Orleans Hornets are as lowly 11-26 and really searching for an identity. I consider them what I like to call a “trap team”. Led at the point guard position by Greivis Vasquez and first overall pick Anthony Davis, the Hornets have plenty of options on the scoring end. This is Anthony Davis’ debut in Philadelphia and the way our Sixers rebound the ball or should I say lack of rebounding, I do not wish to see this turn into an Anthony Davis highlight reel. Oh and lets not leave out their leading scorer Ryan Anderson at 17.1 points a game, he is a deadly 3 point shooter.

With that being said the Philadelphia 76ers need to do several things to solidify a win tonight. Play their big’s tight and and try to crash the boards. As hard as it seems for them at times to do, I hope to see a good game and I consider the Sixers a favorite in this game as they lead the league in fast break points. If Evan Turner and Thad Young have solid games as they did on Saturday than I see the Sixers winning possibly by double digits. Bottom Line, good on ball defense and a solid fast paced Sixers offense should be able to tire out the young Hornets team.
