2) How do you feel about Dario Saric’s potential?
Dante Nelson: I’m not too sure. Video clips give an indication that he’d fit in nicely with the team. Star? I can’t say, though if the draft was as deep as people said, I’d be disappointed if he wasn’t a star.
Spencer Layman: I love Saric. Had him as a top 10 talent, even with him waiting to come over to the States for a couple of years. This year means nothing so he might as well stay overseas.
Curt Jenkins: Dario Saric is very intriguing. After watching a few tapes on him I see a lot of Manu Ginobili and Tiago Splitter. I see a ton of Manu when Saric is coming off screens and setting up his own shot. Splitter is fluent on the boards and I also a lot that in Saric. I can surely see him helping the Sixers down the road as a spot of shooter and solid rebounder. I feel as though he will be worth the wait.
Ryan Calpin: Dario Saric’s potential in the NBA to me is unknown. Their have been A LOT of foreign players that have been thought to be the next big thing, that just didn’t pan out in the NBA. Yi Jianlian, Fran Vazquez, and Darko Milicic were previous foreign players picked in the top 11 picks that have not panned out at all. Now I understand Dario Saric has more upside than those players, averaging double digit points, and known to be a force on the boards. But again this is another pick that will obviously be for the distance future since Saric can’t play in the NBA for at least two years. So we will just have to wait and see.
