Hm, what can I say about Casper Ware? The kid’s just a straight-up baller!

It could be left at that, but let’s dive into his performance at Orlando. Casper Ware has been bouncing around the NBA Development League for the past two years, with an occasional 10-day contract from NBA teams. He signed on with the 76ers at the end of the season, remaining with them and continuing his stay in Orlando. Ware has been grinding to become a consistent NBA player with a long-term contract. All that hard work looks like it paid off this week.

After an impressive summer league outing, Ware has all but secured a primary role on the 76ers roster after leading the team to a summer league championship. Casper led the team in scoring and assists and, dare I say, haunted opposing ball-handlers with tremendous quickness on the defensive end. In the 76ers opener against Orlando, Casper Ware was making Victor Oladipo‘s day a living hell, which was exciting to see.

Get used to hearing Mr. Ware’s name; he has a chance to stick with the 76ers roster this season.
