I’m not sure anyone can answer the question about JaKarr Sampson being on the roster. Brett Brown likes him for some reason. He’s athletic, stands very tall at 6’9″, which can give him an advantage over smaller guards if Brett Brown can ever successfully convert him into a point guard. At this point, it’s just a body.
To the eight-man rotation, if I had things my way, it would look something like this: MCW-KJ McDaniels-Robert Covington-LMAM-Nerlens Noel. My three off the bench would be Henry Sims, Hollis Thompson and Tony Wroten, obviously. If Brett Brown wants to get the most out of his young guys, then put them on the floor and let’s see what we have. I’m starting to not mind LMAM starting as much when he stays within his game, because he can be a decent player. Seeing Furkan Aldemir get some minutes to relieve Sims/Noel would be ideal also. Aldemir has looked rough in limited action, but he needs some time to adjust to the NBA game.
