While the Sixers showcased perhaps the league’s top rookie all season, and continued to gush about the arrival of a marquee center, the center position remains an ongoing source of wonder and concern for the average Sixers fan.
This is entirely reasonable. After all, the organization traded away perhaps the game’s all-time great at the position ages ago, and got burned on a major deal just before project-Hinkie ensued.
This year’s draft might present the Sixers with a unique possibility: draft tall and big, and sort the rest later. This year, a number of potential big men could really help the Sixers whether they be first or second round selections.
