Apr 4, 2015; Indianapolis, IN, USA; Kentucky Wildcats forward Trey Lyles (41) shoots defended by Wisconsin Badgers forward Sam Dekker (15) in the first half of the 2015 NCAA Men

Trey Lyles

Perhaps possessing the most upside of any power forward, Kentucky big Trey Lyles can become a great one. He can also become a bust. If he dedicates himself to conditioning, practice, and acquiring defensive technique, then he can likely become a good player. If he remains slow footed in the NBA, then he’ll find himself in the D-League or Europe quickly. So fine is the line between success and failure for Lyles that half the scouts love his game and potential and the other half aren’t so sure what to make of him. Nonetheless, he packs quite a game in his frame. Incredible smart sense and a gifted offensive force, Lyles takes command with his length, rebounds, and put backs. The only question might be his ability to improve otherwise Lyles can be a top-ten selection this year. He shoots under 15 percent from three-point territory. That will need to change.

Trey Lyle’s stat line for 2014-2015:

PPG: 8.7     RPG: 5.2     APG: 1.1
