#58 – T.J. McConnell – Point Guard – Arizona – 23 years old

Not feeling this pick. This is supposed to be a “team needs” based mock draft and the Sixers do not need another point guard on their roster; especially T.J. McConnell (NO OFFENSE T.J., I THINK YOU’RE GREAT!).

I won’t even spend time giving analysis because it is not worth my time. Let’s discuss who the Sixers should take here.

At No. 58 there isn’t a ton of prospects that are home run hitters. But, you could probably do better than a limited 23-year-old point. That leads me to drafting a guy who never hit his potential in college but has the nickname “Skywalker.” That would be Chris Walker out of Florida. The 6’10″ hyper-athletic power forward never turned into the player he should have been. Walker had some eligibility problems but there is still some talent within him. He’s long and athletic, but needs the time to develop.

Selection grade: F for McConnell; all things considering for where he was picked, C for Walker
