5) Kristaps Porzingis
Admittedly, I need to watch more of Porzingis. But, the basics are that he’s a legit 7’0″ prospect that can stretch the floor out to the three-point line and has good enough lateral movement that he shouldn’t worry you defensively. Ideally, Porzingis is the perfect fit next to Joel Embiid, but taking him with the No. 3 pick would be too much of a risk. Soaking wet, the kid comes in around 220 pounds, which is worrisome for his longevity in the NBA. He’s more of a long-term project and would take a few years and development to reach his peak.
Still, an intriguing prospect, and one that the Sixers could definitely take if they trade down a few spots. Playing in Seville, Porzingis has tools as a rim protector also, averaging over a block in both the ACB and Eurocup this season, via Draft Express. I enjoy his shooting and rim protection, but worry about his weight and ability to rebound the ball at a high level.
