2. PG/SG D’Angelo Russell, Ohio State (6-foot-5, 193 pounds)

There’s a ton to like about D’Angelo Russell. He’s crafty guard and one of the purest shooters in the draft, making 2.7 threes per game at a 42% clip. Terrific handles, although he’ll need to develop more of a right hand. He has great size at 6-foot-5 with a 6-foot-10 wingspan that will allow him to defend both guard positions. That type of versatility is really valuable for a growing team like the Sixers. Very creative passer, seemingly having at least one pass a game that leaves you in awe. Can step in and run the pick-and-roll like a ten-year vet. Believe point guard is his longterm position. Didn’t have to play point guard full-time at Ohio State because of Shannon Scott. While he isn’t the most gifted athlete, and he struggles to finish at the rim, his elite shooting makes him an ideal fit for today’s NBA.
