8. 1971-76 Home Jerseys
The 70’s came along and as the world was drastically changing, so did the 76ers’ jerseys. This was the first time the jerseys showcased “Sixers” across the chest. The font that was chosen just screamed 70’s, but it actually works. The red coloring of the font mixes well with the thick blue numbers right below it. This also brought the introduction of the stars and stripes going down the side of the jerseys. The attention to detail to this jersey was incredible. The stars and stripes were interrupted by the red and white waistband on the shorts, which makes the uniforms look sharp, instead of overly vibrant. In an era that saw an abundance of bad uniforms, the Sixers found a way to adapt in a stylish way.
