You can pretty much sum up the sentiment from the entire New York Knicks fan base in the rant from ESPN Stephen A. Smith following the selection of 7’1″ 220 pound Latvian center/power forward Kristaps Porzingus.

Stephen A. Smith had more to say in this video segment about the 2015 NBA Draft.  The reality is that the Knicks selected fourth in a three player draft.  Smith elaborates that he believes Phil Jackson joined the New York Knicks just for a paycheck, and is already acting as though he’s retired. And maybe he’s right. But the team did manage to retain Carmelo Anthony, and managed to deal Tim Hardaway Jr. for a promising point guard in Jarian Grant.

While the moves were good for the long range, they don’t do much for the Knicks this year. They do improve, but in this NBA, that isn’t always enough.
