5. Debut of the best jersey set in the league
As hard as it may seem to believe, what I am about to say is an unbiased opinion: the Sixers have the best jersey set in the NBA.
After unveiling a new set of logos, the Sixers unveiled a trio of new uniforms in mid-June. They took their previous uniforms, which were already among the nicest in the league, and made just the right amount of touches and enhancements to improve the jerseys. First, the team went back to the days of Wilt Chamberlin by placing “PHILA” on the front of their two primary uniforms. They also added stars down the side of each jersey and shorts, as well as adding a lined trim along the neck and shoulder parts of the jersey. Finally, after abandoning them last season, the Sixers brought back the red jerseys as an alternate.
The Sixers have a really solid set of jerseys heading into the 2015-16 season. Solid enough for me to declare them the best set in the entire league. The red, white, and blue colors combined with the stars and stripes makes each of the three jerseys flow all too well. There are some close competitors, but the changes the Sixers made to their uniforms stamped them as the freshest in the league.
