Seven preseason games are officially in the books, and the Philadelphia 76ers have ended things with a losing record. Ultimately, this is how they expect to end their regular season as well, so Sixers fans have been primed as far as what to expect this season.
Despite having one of the rookie of the year candidates (Jahlil Okafor), and an up-and-coming big man in Nerlens Noel, the Sixers are still far from where they need to be to win, and they know that. They have yet to develop most of their players into quality, game winning players, or complete that deal that brings a big star to Philly (hey Sam Hinkie, Kevin Durant is a free agent soon).
Still, the Sixers have one of the most intense fan followings, and everyone has something they’re looking for as the regular season kicks off soon.
The Sixers open regular season play in Boston against the Celtics on October 28th, and then have their home opener on Friday, the 30th against the Utah Jazz.
Here’s five things to look for as the first few weeks start to pick up.
