16. Ron Anderson Has 36 Points (Off The Bench)
While big performances from anyone are exciting, it’s easier to find them valuable when they come from players who came off of the bench. Ron Anderson was generally coming off of the bench, as he only started 79 games in his long career in the NBA.

In the 1989 season for Philly, Anderson only started three games, but was of large value off of the bench scoring 8.1 points per game. He went far above that on April 4th, and scored 36 points.
Anderson’s performance that day was good enough to lead the Sixers to an 11 point win. What was truly remarkable was that Anderson put this many points up in just 30 minutes of gameplay, hitting 15 of his 26 attempted shots, which computes to above 50% shooting. He also hit all five of his attempted free throws.
On top of his points, Anderson pulled in 12 boards.
Anderson may be overlooked in the record books sometimes, but there’s no doubt that he was good for performances like this that led the Sixers to big wins.
