Billy Cunningham -6
The Naismith Hall of Fame starts its biography on Billy Cunningham by saying, “A fiery and effective performer, Billy Cunningham’s exceptional and unusual leaping ability earned him the name, the “Kangaroo Kid.” Cunningham did enough throughout his career to earn him a spot in the Hall of Fame, was an ABA All Star one year, and contributed in a large way to a Philadelphia 76ers championship.
Billy Cunningham, compared to all Sixers scorers, comes in at sixth in all time scoring right behind Charles Barkley with 13,626 Sixer points. Looking at the NBA and ABA combined, Cunningham scored over 16,000 points.
Cunningham was almost always averaging over 10 points per game, and even had seasons above 25 points per game as a Sixer. Cunningham has been highly regarded by the league, and can’t be left out of the all time scoring conversation when compared to other Sixers.
