And the top scorer is?
“Consistency,” Greer once said to the Philly Daily News. “For me, that was the thing I would like to be remembered as a great, consistent player.”
Greer was drafted by the Nationals and moved with the team to Philadelphia. He helped to guide the Sixers to the 1967 championship and put an end to the eight year reign of Boston. A ten-time All-Star, Greer is an NBA Hall of Famer and was an All-NBA player seven times. Greer is the Philadelphia 76ers all-time leader in scoring, games, minutes, two-point field goals and attempts.
According to NBA.com, “If Chamberlain was the team’s go-to guy, then Greer was its quarterback — the man who made the action happen.”
A Herald-Tribune sportswriter claimed that “if there were an award given for a player who is most respected by basketball-insiders, while getting the minimum public appreciation, Greer could win hands down.”

Greer’s scored 21,586 total points for the Philadelphia 76ers. That places him number one on the all time list, and likely will remain there for the foreseeable future.
