Jodie Meeks is a 6’4” 208 pound shooting guard who was drafted in the eleventh pick of second round of the 2009 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks from the University of Kentucky Wildcats. Meeks was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers on February 18, 2010. It was a four player trade, where the Sixers acquired Meeks and center Francisco Elson in exchange for center Primoz Brezec, guard Royal Ivey and a second-round draft pick in 2010

“Jodie Meeks is a player that we targeted during the 2009 NBA Draft and believe that he has the talent to be successful in this league for many years,” Stefanski said. “Both Meeks and Elson are welcome additions to our team.”

Meeks is currently playing is his eighth seasons of his NBA career, and scored 4,103 points over that span. He is a player who wore jerseys of four different teams, but spent the longest time with the Sixers. In just his second start, Meeks scored 26 points (20 in the first quarter), shooting 9–16 from the field, including 7–10 from long range (6–7 in the first quarter). On March 27, 2012, Meeks scored 31, a new career high. His three seasons generated just 1,442 points for the team. He struggled in the 2011-2012 season, and was benched in place of Evan Turner.

He was not resigned, but was later picked up by the Los Angeles Lakes were he enjoyed a 1,209 point season in 2009-2010 season. He is currently playing for the Detroit Pistons
