COACHING STAFF
Eagles:
Its extremely hard to judge a coaching staff when there is none, but at the same time, it tells the story. Also, I am not really enthralled witht any of the potential coaching candidates. Everyone is getting excited about the potential signing of Adam Gase, I am not. Gase made his career thus far being a coordinator for Peyton Manning (who calls his own plays), and “revamping” Jay Cutler‘s career en-route to a six win season for the Bears. None of his “accomplishments” scream head coach material to me.
Sixers:
Brett Brown has not had a roster even remotely worthy of an NBA team. It is impossible to judge Brett Brown coaching based off his career with the Sixers thus far. What you can see is that Brown has constantly changed his game plans based off the roster he was given. Scheming for Michael Carter-Williams is much different than scheming for Jahlil Okafor. Good coaches change and adapt, bad coaches stick to one scheme at the detriment of their team.
To make things even better, the Sixers have Mike D’Antoni next to Brown. Arguably one of the better offensive minds in the NBA in the past ten years, Mike D’Antoni is clearly one of, if not the best assistant coach in the NBA. Brett Brown, a product of Gregg Popovich, and Mike D’Antoni makes this argument not even close.
