Dario Saric

Dario Saric is one of those big men that we have yet to see play as a Sixer. Playing right now overseas, Saric is a prospect that the Sixers are anticipating coming over to the NBA and doing very well. Although international players used to be very looked down upon, they are finally being seen as assets more and more in the NBA, and Saric is seen as something special.

Saric looks to be a player that can play in the 4 spot, but I could also see him being a 3 as well on the Sixers roster. Dario has no problem hitting an outside shot, and he will be a great addition to the offense and allow the Sixers to space the floor a bit better than the have been doing as of late.

While Noel and Okafor can be thought about as trade pieces, Saric isn’t a player the Sixers can look to move, because he’s completely unproven in the NBA.

As with any overseas player, there is a question as to how long it will take them to adjust to the different breed that is NBA basketball, and with Saric, hopefully his learning curve isn’t too steep. The more talented  of a player that international players are, the better and the more hassle-free their skills transfer to the NBA. That’s obviously the expectation and the hopefulness that surrounds Saric. If he fits in well, he could speed this process along.
