COMBINE 2016

The NBA combine is underway, and some have elected to attend fully, some have elected to attend in part, and some have elected to avoid the event altogether.

You know full well the Sixers are eager to talk to prospects this year.  With as many as four first round picks, the Sixers could harvest nearly an entire starting lineup from this draft alone.  Paired with the debut of center Joel Embiid and forward Dario Saric, this team is set up for quite a draft night.

So interviews might give away what the team is looking at on draft night right?  Well, they have interviewed 7’0″  Kentucky power forward Skal Labissierre, 5’9″ point guard Tyler Ulis from Kentucky, 6’4″ Providence point guard Kris Dunn, and 6’7″ Florida small forward Jarom Blossomgame.

Not on our Draft board, but in conversations with the Sixers were 6’5″ Florida State Malik Beasley, 6’6″ Syracuse shooting guard Malachi Richardson (who has not yet committed to the NBA draft), Vanderbuilt point guard Wade Baldwin, and 6’8″ Florida small forward Dorian Finney-Smith.

Adding to the mayhem, Keith Pompey of Philly.com has added Maryland guard Melo Trimble, Villanova guard Josh Hart, Oregon State University’s point guard Gary Payton II, Syracuse guard Michael Gbinije, Gonzaga forward Kyle Wiltjer, North Carolina State PG Anthony Barber, Notre Dame guard DeMetrius Jackson, Brandon Ingram, Buddy Hield, and St. Joseph’s forward Isaiah Miles.  Suffice it to say that virtually any and all of the top NBA candidates are being contacted by the Philadelphia 76ers.
