The Philadelphia 76ers need to make some changes before next season tips off.

In life, the only thing that is constant is change. The same is true for basketball teams, and the same is (possibly exclusively) true for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Whether it is changing players, head coaches, injuries, offensive schemes, or anything else, change is always occurring for all 30 NBA basketball teams, there’s no denial of that. For the Sixers, though, there is a change occurring that isn’t really happening for other teams.

This season, Sam Hinkie — former president and general manager of the team — left the Sixers because he felt he was being pushed out. Bryan Colangelo, son of Jerry Colangelo (who joined the team in mid-December) took Hinkie’s place.

Right away, there was change. Not only was a new face running the Philadelphia 76ers, but a completely different personality. Colangelo was much more willing to talk to reporters than Hinkie, and will take the course of this rebuilding process on a much different path than Hinkie would have in the coming months.

Some change is inevitable. With the top overall pick in the draft, and a need to win more games this season, the Sixers need change to occur to their roster. Other changes occur because of actions the team’s take, and there are plenty of things that need fixing or altering in this coming season.

Bryan Colangelo and the gang need to ensure that some things are changed as the new day in Sixers basketball proceeds.
