Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers have the 20th overall pick in the NBA Draft. This makes trading with them for their draft pick essentially useless, as the Sixers will be drafting four (and then again, six) spots later. There is little reason for the Sixers to upgrade just four spots that late in the draft.

Additionally, in the same idea, the Pacers are unlikely to want to add another first round pick to their arsenal that late in the draft, so the team is highly unlikely to take the Sixers 24th or 26th overall picks.

If they were to listen to a deal involving one (or both of) those picks, however, they would only be able to offer future picks or players in return for them. One of the potential players I see the Pacers possibly offering up is Rodney Stuckey. Stuckey is a veteran point guard who will probably not be able to see a lot of minutes given his age and the troubles that the NBA can put on an aging body, but Stuckey does have experience scoring and facilitating, which is what the Sixers need.

Bryan Colangelo is on the prowl for vets, and it’s not clear if Stuckey would fit his shopping list, but if he does, and the Pacers want to move him for 24 and 26, it could happen. The Sixers shouldn’t be considering this heavily, however, since Stuckey is quite aged (entering his 10th season in the league) and could come across some injury issues next season.
