I think the Sixers keep it simple here and take the obvious choice in Ben Simmons. It’s the safe pick, and Bryan Colangelo won’t want to do anything risky in his first real move as general manager. Colangelo won’t catch flak if he takes Simmons but Ingram ends up better, while my guess is that he’d be crucified if he took Ingram and Simmons ultimately was better, so he’ll play it safe.

That being said, did anyone happen to watch that historic NBA finals that just went down? Did anyone notice the 6-8, 250 pound human swiss army knife that won finals MVP? Now I’m not saying Simmons is the next Lebron James (or AM I?!?!), but he’s 6-10, 240lbs (or whatever he is with all that muscle now), and can pass, defend, and run the floor. This guy represents the future of the NBA, where you need athletes that can play multiple positions and do multiple things well (as opposed to one thing great). He’s cut from the same cloth as Bron, and thats enough for me to find out what his ceiling is.
