E’Twaun Moore

Standing at 6’4” with a solid wingspan, Moore is another comboguard who could fit well playing alongside Ben Simmons. He was somewhat limited in his playing time for some parts of last season behind Derrick Rose and Kirk Hinrich, but showed flashes of being a highly efficient three-point shooter and showcased a rangy defensive aptness on the perimeter.

With the Sixers putting together a lengthy rotation as it stands, adding another piece capable of guarding multiple positions is only going to increase the possibilities that Brett Brown has to work with. Moore covers ground well on the defensive side of the ball and can cover both guard spots at a level far beyond par in terms of your typical reserve point guard.

Offensively, he shot 45% from deep last year, and even if he doesn’t repeat that, he should be a capable spot-up shooter when allowing Simmons to work with the basketball. As a secondary ball handler, he’s an intelligent passer who doesn’t force the issue too often and could fit well on a team that could thrive through setting screens and getting their shooters open shots outside working off of their nucleus of big men.

Moore would have an opportunity to really step up and produce at a high level with the Sixers and is an extremely valuable pickup considering he likely won’t demand an excessive contract in return. He fits well for what the team needs right now and could be a quality piece moving beyond that as well, an all-around excellent pickup.
