Ish Smith

Position: PG

Height: 6-0

Weight: 175

Age: 27

After posting career-highs in points and assists last season for the Sixers, Smith is in for a payday.

The journeyman guard proved last season that he can be a starting guard on a bad team. And that could very well be the same case this upcoming season, however.

With the career year he had, it might generate offers from teams around the league desperate for a point guard.

What Smith has going for him, though, is his familiarity in Brett Brown’s system, and his connection with his teammates.

And with Colangelo as the team’s general manager, how would Smith look with actual NBA talent surrounding him on the court other than Nerlens Noel and Okafor?

Smith returning as the team’s starting point guard may not sound appealing to fans, but at 27, he could continue to grow with the team through the rebuilding process and eventually be demoted to a backup role in the future.

Smith made $1.1 million last year but will most likely command significantly more than that as an unrestricted free agent.
