Nik Stauskas

Nik Stauskas may be a shock to find on this list, since he’s only two years deep in his career with a lot to prove yet, but he still could be considered up there with some of the other players on this list. Drafted in 2014 by the Sacramento Kings, the former Michigan sharpshooter didn’t really play out to be what the Kings expected in his rookie season, and in an effort to dump salary, they traded Nik and Carl Landry to the Philadelphia 76ers.

It also just goes to show how little international players have actually appeared on the Sixers.

With the Sixers in his sophomore season, Nik still wasn’t great, but he seemed to be showing strides in some areas. It seems as though nervousness is one of the biggest issues he has to overcome, and it’s just not clear how he could do that just yet.

Nik was born a Canadian, and still heads back to the Toronto area during the offseason to hang out with TSN and do sports anchor gigs there.

Nik is considered one of the Sixers players that’s on the bubble heading into training camp after a really lackluster couple of games during summer league. With new up-and-coming players like Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and signees such as Gerald Henderson, Nik may find himself out of a job very soon.

So far on his career, Nik averages 6.4 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game all while shooting 38 percent from the field and 33 percent from beyond the arc.
