Minnesota Timberwolves

Minnesota Timberwolves. 18. team. 86.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are traveling the patient “through the draft” rebuild, and this year may finally see significant results for their efforts. The team scored 2015 top draft selection Karl-Anthony Towns, traded veteran Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Andrew Wiggins, and have just added top point guard prospect Kris Dunn to the roster.

I like what this team has done, and I like it alot. A young core that is patiently building the overall talent without rushing to any dramatic swing for the fences. I think the sophomore season of Karl-Anthony Towns is his emergence as one of the top centers in the NBA.

This team could make the playoffs, but I project them falling just shy of the mark.

Key Losses: Tayshaun Prince
Key Gains: Kris Dunn
Key Statistic: Team Defense
NBA Power Rankings: 18th
.
