Atlanta Hawks

Atlanta Hawks. 16. team. 125.
At first glance, the loss of both point guard Jeff Teague and center Al Horford seems to have been made up by the signing of guard Jarrett Jack and center Dwight Howard, I’m not convinced. While both players put up solid numbers last year, they will be joining a new team. Jack, professional as he is, may not be content to sit behind point guard Dennis Schroder this year. Howard, coming off his twelfth year, has seen his numbers begin to erode.

Horford started all 82 games at center. Howard last started 82 games in the 2009-2010 season.

While the team picked up a nice small forward in the draft in DeAndre’ Bembry, he will not contribute much to this team. Is Schroder ready to handle the load? The Atlanta Hawks think so, and perhaps they are right. I think the Hawks hiccup this year, and drop a little in the standings.

Key Losses: Jeff Teague, Al Horford
Key Gains: DeAndre’ Bembry, Jarrett Jack, Dwight Howard
Key Statistic: Shooting accuracy
NBA Power Rankings: 16th
.
