Charlotte Hornets

Previous: . Charlotte Hornets. 15. team. 170.
The Charlotte Hornets risked losing a significant portion of the starting lineup in Nicolas Batum, Al Jeffeson, and Marvin Williams. The team decided to retain Batum and William, allowing Jefferson to find his next paycheck elsewhere.

The team signed Roy Hibbert to fill the void of playing minutes, and will lean on Cody Zeller even more this season.

After a very exciting summer league performance, the Hornets poached power forward Christian Wood from the 76ers (he only had a summer league contract, to be fair). While he has both Marvin Williams and Frank Kaminsky III to compete with for playing time, I truly think Wood will emerge this season as a dark horse.

Another key loss was point guard Jeremy Lin, whose absence will be felt by mid season. This still be a good team, but not as good as last year.

Key Losses: Jeremy Lin, Courtney Lee, Al Jefferson
Key Gains: Christian Wood, Roy Hibbert, Malachi Richardson
Key Statistic: Shooting accuracy
NBA Power Rankings: 15th
.
