Washington Wizards

9. team. 142.
The Washington Wizards struggled through injuries in the 2015-2016 season to both Bradley Beal and Markieff Morris, failing to make the playoffs. With the team at full strength, that should not be an issue this season.

If the starting five can play 82 games together, this team could be awfully good. I like the pickups of both Mahinmi and Nicholson for depth, and I hold the backcourt duo of Bradley Beal and John Wall in the highest regard. If Gortat could elevate his game ever so slightly, and if the team stays healthy, the NBA Southeast Conference is the Wizards’ for the taking.

Key Losses: Gary Neal, Ramon Sessions, Nine Hilario
Key Gains: Ian Mahinmi, Andrew Nicholson.
Key Statistic: Defense
NBA Power Rankings: 9th
.
