(2) The Philadelphia 76ers are about to trade a center

Scenario number two feeds the deepest desires of the 76ers fanbase.  In the long wait of who will stay and who will be dealt, we finally have our answer.

But any transaction dealing one of the Philadelphia centers leaves a void in the roster spot that player had occupied.  Yes, there simply aren’t enough playing minutes to spread successfully among three hopeful starting-caliber centers in the NBA, but the roster built upon two centers who have been injured in the past 18 months is not a wise option either.

And so, regardless of whether the traded center is Jahlil Okaror or Nerlens Noel, the team will need someone on the roster who can clean up the remaining minutes.

Is Tibor Pleiss “that guy”?  To be blunt, he’s mature, inexperienced, incredibly tall, and theoretically willing to take whatever time the team can afford to play him.  In this scenario, the team is focusing on balancing a roster between playing time and player needs.   If Pleiss can handle a little playing time and show positive trends, this could be a scenario to keep an eye on.
