Altogether now..

The Philadelphia 76ers’ top prospects Embiid and Simmons are 22 and 20 years old. Additionally, the 76ers will likely add more good young players. The team has a lottery first round pick, the Lakers top 3 protected first round pick and the right to swap first round picks with the Sacramento Kings in 2017.   They have an unprotected first round pick from the Kings in 2019.  In the very deep 2017 draft, the 76ers even have added two additional second round picks.

I have purposely saved one final aspect of the Celtics and Sixers’ rebuilds for last.  Neither team has been successful in trading for an NBA superstar.

Hinkie haters like to mention how they were unsuccessful at winning the NBA lottery in 2014 and 2015.  However, the Celtics were just as unsuccessful.  Boston failed repeatedly when trying to convert young players and draft picks into an NBA star.
