The Philadelphia 76ers‘ game against the Sacramento Kings was cancelled on Wednesday night due to condensation on the court.
What does the staff at the Wells Fargo Center, the Philadelphia 76ers mascot (Franklin) and DeMarcus Cousins all have in common?
Well, on Wednesday night, they were all mopping the court at the Wells Fargo Center.
Unfortunately for everyone involved, their efforts weren’t enough as the game between the Sixers and the Sacramento Kings had to be postponed due to condensation on the court.
Just how wet was the court? Check out this video from the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Keith Pompey:

Here’s a photo of Cousins doing his best to clean the mess up:

After the game, Sixers’ CEO Scott O’Neil apologized for the inconvenience and said that he is confident in the staff at the Wells Fargo Center. He also that this was a league decision, and it was not up to the 76ers’ organization to make the call.

O’Neil was very apologetic toward the fans, and said that their tickets will be honored when the game is rescheduled. He added that they will be offered tickets to another game, as well.
"“These guys (Comcast) operate 100 buildings around the world; if there’s anyone that can figure this out, it’s them,” O’Neil said (via a Comcast SportsNet video here). “They’re world class operators, so I don’t anticipate a problem or an issue, but we certainly want to get this fixed and straight and set. We’ll do everything we can, at least on our side, of making sure that everything is operating and running fully and smoothly by our next home game.”"
The 76ers next game is on Friday, Dec. 2 at home against the Orlando Magic.
Embiid’s Minutes Restriction Increased
Before the Philadelphia 76ers were supposed to play against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night, coach Brett Brown broke some pretty significant news.
For the first time of his regular season NBA career, Sixers rookie center Joel Embiid had his minutes restriction increased to 28 minutes. His previous high was 24 minutes, where he’s been at for the past few weeks.
Pre-game update:

•Joel Embiid playing time limit increased to 28 minutes, starting tonight vs. Sacramento.
Brown was more than pleased with the news of his star player.
Coach Brown says "giddy" is one word that comes to mind with Embiid's playing time being increased.

This is a huge break for 4-14 76ers, who are undoubtedly a much better team with Embiid on the floor.
Against the Memphis Grizzlies last week, the Sixers were forced to sit Embiid for the second overtime period (due to his minutes restriction). It was a game that certainly would have been closer if Embiid was able to take the floor.
If you coulda played Embiid in double overtime, would it have made a difference? Brett Brown:"Yes". Said nothing else.

Now, if the Sixers are faced with a similar situation moving forward, Brown said the scenario might end up differently.
Brown said that Sixers will also have some "wiggle room" with Embiid playing time limit in overtime.

Embiid had this to say of his raised minutes:

Embiid, Noel Play One-on-One
The other day at practice, Brett Brown said that Embiid and Nerlens Noel were playing one-on-one in practice, with Ben Simmons throwing entry passes from a stool.
