Brett Brown’s Show

This is not happening by random chance.  This is all Brett Brown’s doing.  I assert that few, if any, head coaches could pull this team together this rapidly with so many  international stars, so many players vying for playing time, and developing so many players in so many diverse roles on the fly.

As this team becomes familiar with one another, and structure begins to develop, the team will begin to win games once lost.  The Philadelphia 76ers are the personification of their head coach. Brown is inhumanly upbeat, confident, pragmatic, and feisty.  It’s no small wonder that as he works with his players, they are beginning to assume those qualities.

T.J. McConnell and Robert Covington shoot buzzer beaters now.  Dario Saric is the team’s workhorse off the bench.  Jahlil Okafor is dying to get back onto the court for the team which had him pulled away as possible trade talks were underway.

Still, they show up, the play together and they play hard.  And the best of the bunch have yet to arrive in full to this roster. Already the team is better than any of the past three seasons.  But at full strength?  This team could be .500 or better this year.  That begs the question. Are the Philadelphia 76ers playing too well too quickly?
