Answer The Question!

That is a huge advantage.  While many fans excite over an NBA Draft, how many players from the 2016 NBA Draft are truly exhibiting greatness? But the question posed in the title, are the Philadelphia 76ers too successful, remains unanswered. Is the team too successful too quickly?

No.

The Process intends the team to win from the moment high quality talent joins the roster.  It’s simply a sharp contrast how quickly the team has converted from NOT to HOT.   But there is plenty more where that came from.  The Philadelphia 76ers could have as many as four new draft picks joining the team next season.  Two of those picks could be in the top ten.  Following the 2017 NBA Draft, the 76ers will continue to have multiple NBA draft picks. If you subscribe to The Process, that’s what it’s all about.

If you haven’t converted, then you will be even happier.   The team is on track to go from 10 wins per season up to the 30 wins per season neighborhood.  At that level, things get interesting.  A full season of Jerryd Bayless, Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid in the 2017-2018 season should bring the 76ers up to a .500 level.   With the 2017 NBA Draft looming (depending where and how often the team is selecting), the team could do even better.

Even as the team must decide whether to retain Nerlens Noel, Ersan Ilyasova, or Sergio Rodriguez, the team is ascending rapidly now. Free agents will take notice.  The comraderie and fight in this 76ers team will continue to earn the league’s respect, even as the team wins more games.

So, if you are a fan who worries about the team’s place in the NBA Draft, fear not. The goal all along has been to win.  The Philadelphia 76ers have simply been more patient than 29 other teams in the NBA on that quest.
