Lack Of Confidence

The past twelve months have been stressful for virtually everyone even casually associated with the Philadelphia 76ers.   The team appeared to set goals for the season: infuse veterans to pick up quality minutes and mentor younger teammates, develop a winning culture, and remedy the perceived logjam at center.

Now post the all-star break, the team feels as though it careless raced to check off the boxes on the list. While many were open-minded to give the team’s new front office a chance, much of that blank slate has been overwritten with disappointment.

Do What You Say, Say What You Mean

The controversy is actions, but in the appearance of actions independent to previously made statements.  Veterans signed have been injury riddled, the team is winning on the backs of players not valued in the off-season (McConnell and Covington), and the team appears to be stuck now at center without a healthy one to play. How much better off is this team due to actions made?

That’s tough to quantify.  But it is a valid perception of the fans right now.
