Philadelphia 76ers Have Very Important Off-Season Ahead.

Ground To Make Up
The Philadelphia 76ers have slipped recently. Value of draft picks had converted almost consistently to better value in future draft picks. Until this year, that is. The Nerlens Noel trade, and the likely Jahlil Okafor trade in the off-season, have converted the 76ers from gaining value to diluting value.

Swarm and Sting
Previously, the Philadelphia 76ers had made it a point to land the coveted players other teams wanted, and then mandated a premium to exchange that player. Now, it’s the other team who have the coveted players, and the 76ers who find themselves paying the premium.
Free Agent Challenges
The team is certainly no better off for the free agent market this year. While the team has plenty of goodwill going forward, the trio of Simmons, Saric, and Embiid never played together in an NBA game. But players and agents did witness how the team mishandled Okafor, Noel, and to some extent, Ilyasova this year.
Finally, the team once more expected head coach Brett Brown to manage too many matters. Brown seldom had time to scheme, as most of the season was spent learning how many minutes he had to play from fewer and fewer players. Player development suffered as a result.
