Draft Dealings

8 Points, 9 Seconds
The Philadelphia 76ers have not been out of the worst three teams in the NBA for some time. With the progress this team will make, shopping the best of the draft may not be an option. But it can still work to the team’s favor.
2016 NBA Draft
There can be no complaint about the team’s 2016 NBA Draft. Ben Simmons, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and Furkan Korkmaz were a great haul in a shallow draft. But the 2017 NBA Draft is deeper, and the Philadelphia 76ers needs are more specific. The team faces a back court draft but some front court needs. Can the Philadelphia 76ers sort through gems to find diamonds?
Ideally, the team converts the plethora of second round draft picks to return back to the first round, or trade for a 2018 first. Unfortunately, confidence wanes now with a bobbling at the trade deadline. The last thing this team needs amidst all the decisions yet to be made is distrust.
