Reason II: Lorenzo Romar Has Keen Eye For Basketball Talent

With a limited number of scholarships to offer, and with a task that often requires several years to culminate with a commitment to the college program, a college head coach must know gold from pyrite almost immediately. Lorenzo Romar’s track record of finding NBA quality talent is excellent.

  • Romar would be an ideal scouting executive. Since he knows the ins and outs of basketball and the NBA, he would be loaded with valuable experience.  As a former head coach of the PAC12, his smile and handshake would open doors that remain closed to others.

    He has been generating his share of talent for the NBA from the University of Washington. Perhaps now, at this fork in the road, he would be willing to join the ranks of an NBA team to solve the dilemma of which players offer NBA caliber talent .

    With the Philadelphia 76ers major players in the next few NBA Drafts, adding to the scouting ranks is a definitive plus.  And with plenty of talent in the upper echelon of rankings coming from the west coast, adding PAC12 expertise would seem to be a logical step.  In fact, it’s a step I’m surprised other NBA teams are not considering.
