Philadelphia 76ers rookie forward Dario Saric showed yet again after a win on Tuesday night that he is an incredibly quotable player.

Dario Saric, over the last few weeks, has really solidified himself as a name that should be the front-runner for Rookie of the Year. Quietly in the early months of the seasons, Saric was trailing right behind his Philadelphia 76ers teammate, Joel Embiid, in the rookie ladder. Embiid was running away with the award at the time.

Ironically, both rookies were not drafted in the draft year that directly preceded this season.

Both Embiid and Saric have shown that they have insanely bright futures in the NBA, and the fact that they are on the same team means they will be true powerhouses and will combine forces to be a really solid duo.

If the award was based solely on quotability, however, Saric would surely win the award. He’s been a really fun player to listen to throughout the season, for a number of reasons.

His knowledge of the language is fairly low, being from a foreign country, so that leads to a few things. One, funny wording at times. Two, an awesome accent to listen to. And three, since he’s limited in what he can say, he can’t really sugar coat anything. Saric is brutally honest.

This season, he’s been interviewed by Molly Sullivan plenty of times on CSN after wins because he is almost always a key player when it comes to the reason for the team winning. On Tuesday night, as the Sixers beat the Brooklyn Nets, things were no different, and Molly met with Dario yet again.

He proved once more how quotable he was.

As far as what Dario did to prepare, he said he avoided the enticing life that New York has to offer. He wanted to keep his mind on the game and win. That he did. He finished with 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 assists as he helped Robert Covington and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot lead the charge.

"“I use massage, I was like 10 hours in the bed, I don’t try, you know, to visit around New York. I tried to be focused, tried to stay fresh mind for this game, because this kind of game, we should win, and we did that today.”"

Molly also asked him about the “M-V-P” chants some in-house Sixers fans put up for him as he was taking free throws. In broken English, Dario put it only how Dario could:

"“Thank you, what to say?”"
